“Any resemblance between this film and an actual documentary is purely coincidental”, say the credits. Is this precaution necessary? To be honest, it seems somewhat superfluous in this film, which looks at the many aspects of the problems posed by the production and consumption of andouille sausages. … The history of andouille since ancient times… A scientific study of modern andouille and the conditions under which the quality label is awarded… The andouille cycle, which starts with the sun, which is essential for grass, which is in turn necessary for the pig that sustains the pork butcher on whom the consumer depends… The social importance of andouille in today’s world… It is to be hoped that viewers will share the author’s conclusions about the future of this edible product.
